Drug Prevention Walk 2025 – Rotary Club of Anuradhapura

Held successfully in parallel with National Drug Prevention Week, the Rotary Club of Anuradhapura proudly organized a Drug Prevention Walk in collaboration with the Municipal Council of Anuradhapura and Anuradhapura Police.

Suwaseth Yathra: Rotary Club of Anuradhapura and Rotaract Club of Rajarata University Promote Community Health and Awareness

The “Suwaseth Yathra” Health Check-up Camp, a joint project by the Rotary Club of Anuradhapura and the Rotaract Club of Rajarata University, successfully provided essential health services to the community of Illupukkanniya – South.

From free eye check-ups and doctor consultations to awareness sessions on medication, nutrition, and the effects of alcohol.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the volunteers and partners who made this vital initiative a reality. Together, we are building a healthier future for our community.

World Suicide Prevention Day 2025: Community Mental Health Awareness Initiative in Anuradhapura

On 7th September, as part of Bikeathon 2025 – Ride for a Cause, we conducted a mental health awareness session alongside the national cycling journey promoting the 1333 crisis prevention hotline.

The initiative also featured the unveiling of a meaningful wall art in Anuradhapura City, symbolizing hope and suicide prevention. We extend our sincere gratitude to Tharushi Nimnawi, Rajarata Arts, and Rtn. Ruwan Dehigama for their invaluable support.

Together with our supporters and participants, we helped raise awareness, break the silence, and stand united for mental health.

The Stomach & Liver Health Awareness Program, organized by the Rotary Club of Anuradhapura together with the Anuradhapura Medical Association and the Sri Lanka Society of Gastroenterology, successfully brought vital knowledge and guidance to our community.

For the 4th consecutive year, the Rotary Club of Anuradhapura proudly led this meaningful ride proving that even though Sri Lanka remains Polio-Free, our mission continues until every child, everywhere is safe from polio.

From sunrise rides to heartfelt teamwork, these snapshots capture the true spirit of Rotary — Service Above Self.

සහන යාත්‍රා – අයහපත් කාලගුණයෙන් පීඩිත ජනතාව සඳහා හදිසි සහන ව්‍යාපෘතිය

“අවශ්‍යම තැන අපි සීරුවෙන්”

අයහපත් කාලගුණය හේතුවෙන් ඇති වූ ඛේදවාචකයෙන් වැඩි බලපෑමක් අප අනුරාධපුර දිස්ත්‍රිකයටද ඇතිවිය. එම හේතුවෙන් ඉකුත් 29 දින ක්ෂණිකව ක්‍රියාත්මක වූ අප රොටරි සාමාජික කණ්ඩායම අනුරාධපුර අවට නිවාස අහිමි ව කදවුරු වල සිටින අපේම සහෝදර සහෝදරියන්ට සහ තම ජීවිත පරදුවට තබා සේවයේ නියුතු නිළධාරීන් හට ආහාර ලබාදීමට කටයුතු කලෙමු. රොටරි සභාපතිතුමන්ගේ මූලිකත්වයෙන්, රොටරි සාමාජිකයන්ගේ සහ සමාජිකයන්ගේ පවුල්වල සමාජියන්ගේද සහභාගීත්වයෙන් මෙම කර්තව්‍යය සිදුකෙරුණි. අප සමාජයේ හිටපු සභාපතිවරයෙකු වන දිනේෂ් කාහිංගල මහතාට අයත් Sorriso Restaurant ආයතනයේ සියලුම කාර්‍යමණ්ඩලය අපි විශේෂයෙන් සිහිපත් කරන්නෙමු. සියලු දෙනාටම ස්තූතියි.

මෙතෙකින් නොනැවතී ඉදිරි දින වලදී නිවාස පිරිසිදු කිරීම් සහ පිළිසකර කිරීම්, වියළි ආහාර ලබාදීම්, සමීපාරක්ෂක ද්‍රව්‍ය සහ අධ්‍යාපනික ද්‍රව්‍ය ලබාදීමට අප කටයුතු කරන්නෙමු. ඒ සදහා අපත් සමග ‘සහන යාත්‍රා’ ව්‍යාපෘතිය සමග අත්වැල් බැදගන්නට ආරාධනා කරන්නෙමු.

අපි අපේම මිනිසුන් වෙනුවෙන්

සහන යාත්‍රා – ගංවතුරින් අවතැන් වූ ජනතාව සඳහා හදිසි සහන බෙදාහැරීමේ ව්‍යාපෘතිය

ඊයේ (දෙසැ 04) දින අනුරාධපුර දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ ගංවතුරින් අවතැන් උන අපේම සහෝදර ජනතාව වෙනුවෙන් වියළි ආහාර, ඇදුම් පැළඳුම් සහ සනීපාරක්ෂක ද්‍රව්‍ය බෙදාදීම ආරම්භ කලා. අපි ඊයේ දිනයේදී මිහිදු පුර සහ විලච්චිය ප්‍රදේශ වලට බෙදාදීම සිදුකරනු ලැබුවා.

“නොහැක්කක් නොමැත” යන කියමන පසක් කරමින්, Colombo Port City රොටරි සමාජයේ සාමාජික ඉයන් ඉද්දමල්ගොඩ මහතාගේ සහ චමීර ජීවන්ත මහතාගේ සම්බන්ධීකරණයෙන් එම Rotary Colombo Port City රොටරි සමාජය, භාෂා ආයතනය, විජේරාම කොමියුනිටි කිචන් (Wijerama Community Kitchen) සහ අපත් සමග අත්වැල් බැදගත් කොළඹ දිස්ත්‍රික් ඔබ ඇතුලු සියලුම දෙනාගේ උදව්වෙන් අපිට පුලුවන් උනා එක දවසක් ඇතුලත මේ විශාල භාණ්ඩ තොගය එකතු කරලා මේ විදියට බෙදලා දෙන්න. භාණ්ඩ බෙදාදීම සදහා එකතු උන අප සමාජයේ සමාජිකයින්ටත් පවුල්වල සාමාජිකයින්ටත් ස්තූතියි.

මෙතෙකින් නොනැවතී ‘සහන යාත්‍රා’ව ඉදිරියටම. අපත් සමග අත්වැල් බැදගන්න.

සහන යාත්‍රා – රඹෑව ප්‍රදේශයේ ගංවතුරෙන් පීඩිත ජනතාව සඳහා පානීය ජල මූලාශ්‍ර පිරිසිදු කිරීමේ ව්‍යාපෘතිය

අනුරාධපුර රොටරි සමාජයේ “සහන යාත්‍රා”ව රඹෑවට!

දෙසැම්බර් 02 වන දින අප රොටරි සමාජයේ මැදිහත්වීමෙන් රඹෑව ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම් කාර්යාලයට අයත් ප්‍රදේශ වල ගංවතුරට හසුවූ සියලූ පානීය හා භාවිතයට ගන්නා ජල මූලාශ්‍ර ක්ලෝරීණීකරණය කොට පිරිසිදු කිරීම සිදුකෙරුණි.

ඒ සදහා අපත් සමග රජරට විශ්වවිද්‍යාලයේ කෘෂිකාර්ම පීඨයට අයත් සිසුන් පිරිසක් සම්බන්ධ වූ අතර මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය සාර්ථකව සිදුකිරීමට ඔවුන් මහත් දායකත්වයක් ලබාදිය. මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතිය සම්බන්ධීකරණය සිදුකල අප රොටරි සමාජික කසුන් හර්ෂණ මහජන සෞඛ්‍යය පරීක්ශක නිළදාරීතුමන්ටත්, රඹෑව ප්‍රාදේශීය ලේකම්තුමන්ටත් බෙහෙවින් ස්තූතියි.
