In a heartfelt initiative to uplift the educational journey of Sri Lanka’s children, the Rotary Club of Anuradhapura, with the generous support of @Rotary District 3220, recently undertook the renovation of the damaged sanitation facilities at Aluthwewa Kumara Maha Vidyalaya, Anuradhapura.

This project aimed to modernize a crucial yet often overlooked part of the school infrastructure: clean, safe, and functional washrooms. By removing the dilapidated sections and replacing them with hygienic, student-friendly facilities, the project reinforced the belief that health and education must go hand in hand.

In parallel, the club also hosted a Career Guidance Session, specially designed to inspire and equip two of the school’s children with tools to shape their future. Through thoughtful mentoring and planning, students were guided on how to chart their professional paths with purpose and focus.
