Rotary Club of Anuradhapura Welcomes Indian Cyclist Prasanjit Das on World Tour Promoting Peace, Health, and Sustainability
Renowned Indian cyclist Prasanjit Das began his world cycling tour from Sri Lanka, traveling from Jaffna to Colombo, and arriving in Anuradhapura. He was warmly welcomed at Seedevi Family Restaurant by Rotary Club President Rtn. Sandaruwan Samaratunga and Mayor Mr. N. Karunaratne, a cycling champion and enthusiast.
The tour, focused on tree planting, health promotion, and peace, carries a global message of unity and care. To symbolize this, a sapling was gifted for planting by the Rotary Club a gesture of hope and sustainability.
This meaningful occasion was made possible in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Vijayawada (RID 3020). Also present were Secretary Rtn. Amal Piyathilaka, Senior Member Rtn.Anura Sanjeewa, and fellow Rotarians who shared in the spirit of fellowship and support.
We are proud to stand with Prasanjit Das as he pedals for a better world.
